Costume Notes

This project was a collaboration between myself and my sister Alex--recreating the character Miso from the popular game Katamari.

I patterned and built the garments from scratch, and assisted in the construction of the mascot head. It consists of a ribbed cardboard base structure built off of a bicycle helmet. There is a layer of cotton batting between the cardboard and the fabric cover to give it a smooth finish.

The sleeves of the shirt end in mitten hands, with an overlapped opening on the inner wrists to allow her to take her hands in and out of the costume.
